Speyish squirrel tail

Sent to one of our western steelhead fishermen.  It's on the smallish side with golden pheasant providing the hackle.  Other than the Hawkshead rear veiling she's an inexpensive dressing that hopefully suggests the profile of a classic Spey fly

Fine looking fly Dave...and very "speyish". I am a big fan of squirrel tail in my hair wing salmon flies and this pattern definitely shows why that is so. If that fly isn't a fish catcher...nothing is. Like the hook too!!
