"Freedom Fly" by Gordeaux
#1
Well I was talking with Gordeaux on the phone yesterday after he sent me a photo of his "Freedom Fly". I told him it was a must for here, but he confessed to being an even worse techie than me...so I got the job.

I hope you enjoy...and a special thanks to my friend Gordeaux!!

Cheers,
George

I like this version a lot! The middle joint is crazy cool.

I've seen other flies like this that are more tight to "typical" salmon fly proportions but this one, with its frenetic gesture, speaks to me more and for now is much closer to the tension and wild air that seems to be around.

Awesome fly Gordeaux! I 'm thinking the design thread needs a RW&B post.

...and thanks George for posting it here.

call me a seppophile but I really enjoy these US flag flies.
I've nearly driven myself mad trying to design a union jack... the st. george's cross was easy.

cheers,

everything in this world is, at its very least, slightly more important than tying feathers to a hook.

That's pretty cool!

We yanks have it fairly easy when it comes to these types of flies due to our flag and how feathers match up.

Nice work on this fly.  I know it would never see water (and it shouldn't), but I'd like to imagine what this would look like wet.
