I was cruising through that well known auction site when I spotted a HMH TRV Vise for sale. The owner claimed it was new and he/she had never tied on it, just had too many vises so the TRV had to go. I've been a Renzetti user for over 30 years, but this vise intrigues me...obviously due to the design of the jaws being so close to the almost mystical and outrageously expensive LAW vise...if you can find one. Nevertheless...up close photos make those TRV jaws look a little I became a little suspect of the quality when I read they are "cast" from tool steel. Investment castings like those for golf clubs have stood the test of time...think Ping irons...but for this application I'm not so sure. And I will add...after its debut in the fall of 2017 it is finally on their web site!!

My questions are simple...Has anyone purchased and/or seen one up close? Or perhaps tied on one? What did you think?

Thanks in advance for your input.
