3/0 Freestyle
#1
Used one of Ronn’s 3/0 hooks. It started out as Kelson’s Doctor Leonard until I started tying on the Tippet underwing. I didn’t like how the mohair body veiling turned out and tore most of it down and went with a freestyle instead. Happy with the results. The wing was recycled from a different salmon fly.

Regards,

Marty

Hi Marty: You changed horses mid-stream and it worked out beautifully for you. I like the decisions you made. It's got great proportions, expertly tied, and a killer hook/dressing marriage. Bravo!

Hey Marty - Dave's keen eye for the details sums it up for me too. Well done indeed!!

Less is more stands true on the body. The mohair and long flowing throat can be all they can be set against such a calm body. Good stuff Marty.
