GP crest exercise
#1
I’ve always wanted to tie a fly completely with crest feathers. When I was tying in the hurl head I noticed one of the crests twisted on me. I keep this until humidity starts to twist the ends of the crests.

Sounds like the GP crests along the sides. Over half of the crest feathers are useable...……….unless they are on fishing flies. It pains me to throw feathers into the dust bin but I manage to do it.
Happy Trails!

I've never had the nerve to do what you've done Marty. This qualifies as one cool fly. Can you tell I like it?

Thanks gentlemen. One of these days I’ll get back to tying regular patterns.

Awesome. Gp crest is so beautiful, but so hard to work with and get nice, at least for me. You did a mighty fine job with this one IMO. Impressing.
